Planned Parenthood Solicits Just-Turned-18-Year-Old for Funding

It’s your 18th birthday – a milestone event in your life. You’re getting ready to go to college. You can vote.

And you can give money to Planned Parenthood.

At least, that’s what Planned Parenthood’s fundraising arm seems to think. This week, Breitbart.com received information that Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc., is sending out fundraising letters to girls who have just turned 18. Here’s what the letters, addressed “Dear Friend,” state:

This has got to stop.

All over the country, countless irrational and often dangerous laws that have far-reaching consequences for women’s health care have been passed in the name of ending abortion.

And now, an avowed opponent of Planned Parenthood in the U.S. House of Representatives has targeted Planned Parenthood with a politically motivated investigation. It’s another round of harassment and intimidation timed to score political points in an election year.

But there’s only one way to stop it –

We must stand up for common sense and stand with Planned Parenthood against these attacks.

The adage “get ‘em while they’re young” certainly seems to apply here. Planned Parenthood uses the letter to request that young girls become members by making “a generous contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 – or whatever you can afford.” Call it Planned Parenthood’s Barely Legal campaign.

All of these gains are nominal, you understand, but for terrified American policy makers and investors, nominal is just fine.
