Andrew Breitbart is, and always will be irreplaceable. But he left behind a legacy that continues to inspire, and a road map for anybody willing to seek out the truth. In honor of Andrew, we are proud to present a brand new weekly feature entitled #WAR, where we will choose a video that reminds us all of the unique and powerful ways in which he chose to fight for all that he believed, in an effort to level the playing field such that more voices could be heard.

THE HAPPY WARRIOR

The late Nora Ephron told Newsday in 1976, “I have always thought it was a terrible shame that the women's movement didn't realize how much easier it was to reach people by making them laugh than by shaking a fist and saying don't you see how oppressed you are?" 

Andrew was one of the few people on the right who understood the impact of culture on politics.  He valued humor, music, and film as forms of entertainment but he valued them more as potential message delivery systems that could profoundly affect social and political attitudes in this country.

He understood that there was an appropriate time for passion and fight, and nobody fought harder. But he also understood there was a time for humor. He never underestimated its power and never missed an opportunity to make us laugh.
