Democrat Rep. Joaquin Castro: Send Red Cross to Border, Not National Guard

After reports indicated that Texas Governor Rick Perry was preparing to deploy National Guard troops to the border, Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) suggested Perry should send the Red Cross instead.

On Sunday evening, Castro implied the border was secure because the “migrant children are seeking out border patrol” and “not trying to evade them.”

“Why would Rick Perry send soldiers to confront the kids?” he wondered.

There have been nearly 60,000 illegal immigrant children who have unlawfully entered the country since October of last year. Some of them have been accompanied by gangsters and even accused murderers.

As Breitbart Texas first reported, an illegal immigrant who came across the border “with children and turned himself in to U.S. Border Patrol agents” in June and was released with a “notice to appear” was arrested last week for murder. The illegal immigrant, Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, illegally entered the country from Honduras.
