Giffords, Kelly Challenge Wayne LaPierre To ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

On August 21 Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly posted a video in which Kelly did the ALS ice bucket challenge and nominated his brother, a family friend, and the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre to do the same.

Once challenged, you can either video yourself having ice water dumped on your head, or you can write a $100 check to ALS. 

According to Politico, Kelly nominated LaPierre by saying the hoped that “one day,” Giffords, Kelly, and LaPierre, could “agree on more than just supporting ALS and Lou Gehrig’s disease research.”

Shortly after being nominated LaPierre’s spokesman said “he’s accepted the challenge and will write a check” when he is back “from being on the road.”
