Desperation: Wendy Davis Suggests Abbott Opposes His Own Interracial Marriage

Despite the fact that her opponent, Republican Greg Abbott, has been in an interracial marriage for more than 30 years, in yet another desperate campaign move, flailing Democrat gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis used her verified Twitter account to suggest Abbott opposes interracial marriage:

Greg Abbott won’t say whether he’d defend an interracial marriage ban–troubling but not surprising from someone who defends a “poll tax.”

The basis for the abortion fanatic’s tweets is Abbott’s refusal to answer a gotcha question from a local left-wing media outlet. Even leftwing political observers at BuzzFeed and Bloomberg Politics criticized Davis’s obvious desperation.  

In the most recent poll of the Texas governor’s race, Wendy Davis is down 15 points, 47-32%. Today’s race-baiting is just the latest example of Davis’s dirty behavior to salvage her campaign and reputation. Last week, she attempted to make Abbott’s physical handicap a campaign issue.

Many observers believe that Davis knows she’s going to be humiliated in the upcoming election and has gone the down-and-dirty route in order to win an anchor job at MSNBC, a leftwing cable news network expected to institute some changers due to its recent ratings collapse.

Should Abbott win his bid for governor, thanks to his interracial marriage, Texas will have its first ever Hispanic first lady: Cecilia Abbott, granddaughter of Mexican immigrants.
