Winnie the Pooh Banned From Playground for Being ‘Hermaphrodite’

Beloved child cartoon character Winnie the Pooh has reportedly been banned from a playground in Poland due to his “dubious sexuality.”

The fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear was in the running to become the public face of a children’s play park in the small town of Tuszyn, but lost after council members raised concerns over his sexuality and scantily clad body.

According to the Croatian Times, the meeting was recorded by a council member and then leaked to the local press.

A.A. Milne, author of the classic Winnie the Pooh tales, was also criticized during the meeting.

“It doesn’t wear underpants because it doesn’t have a sex. This is very disturbing, but can you imagine! The author was over 60 and cut (Pooh’s) testicles off with a razor blade because he had a problem with his identity,” said an unidentified member.

Another counselor then labeled Pooh Bear as a “hermaphrodite,” while Ryszard Cichy concluded: “The problem with that bear is it doesn’t have a complete wardrobe. It is half naked, which is wholly inappropriate for children,” before suggesting a Polish teddy bear instead, that is “dressed from head to toe, unlike Pooh, who is only dressed from the waist up.”

This is the most ridiculous, upsetting article about beloved Pooh Bear. What is happening to the world?? So riled up! http://t.co/yliyyzItAr
