ISIS Video: Jihadists Call for Terror Attacks in France

A propaganda film released by the Islamic State shows three jihadi fighters calling on Muslims in France to carry out terrorist attacks there or join the jihadist group’s efforts in Iraq and Syria.

The seven-minute video was released by Al Hayat Media Center, an affiliate of the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS and ISIL).

According to The New York Times, the film was made public by the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadist groups’ communications.

The video shows four men who claim to be from France, including three who speak in French to the camera.

A man identified as Abu Osama al-Faranci, who is sitting in a wooded area with a rifle on his shoulders, calls on French Muslims to travel to the Islamic State to fight, reveals The Guardian

While holding a short sword, another jihadist identified as Abu Maryam Al Faranci tells the camera that the mujahideen will not hesitate to behead the “enemies of Islam,” reports the British news outlet.

“You will even fear travelling to the market,” adds the jihadist.

The Guardian mentions that a fighter identified as Abu Salman al-Faranci calls on those who cannot join ISIS in Syria or Iraq to “operate within France.”

“Terrorize them and do not allow them to sleep due to fear and horror,” the ISIS fighter adds.

“Do whatever you can to humiliate them,” he says, also adding that “he hoped that the next generation of children who [grow] up in [the] Islamic State would be raised to fight the west,” reports The Guardian

A masked man, while burning what appears to be French passports, can be heard saying, “We disbelieve in you and your passports, and if you come here we will fight you,” adds the British news outlet.

The release of the video came after authorities in France identified two of its citizens–Maxime Hauchard and Michael Dos Santos–as ISIS jihadists who appeared with their faces uncovered in the video released on Sunday showing the gruesome beheading of Peter Kassig, an American aid worker and U.S. military veteran, reports NYT

Those two French nationals have also been linked to “a mass beheading of Syrian government soldiers filmed in gruesome detail,” according to The Guardian.
