KC Business Owners not Sold on Minimum Wage Increase

KMBC in Kansas City reports that business owners in the city were not sold by the president’s speech in the city as part of his campaign to increase the minimum wage.  “Dozens of local businesses owners” disagreed with a minimum wage increase.  And “small-business owners said raising the minimum wage could put them out of business” according to KMBC.

Michelle Skeen, the co-owner of Downtown Pizza, told the station that a minimum wage increase would increase prices, force them to cut back on their menu and delivery services, and “would make it a little more difficult.”
