Bridenstine: OK Beheading Proves Obama Wrong on Gun Control

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) argued that gun control laws pushed by the Obama administration would have prevented Vaughan Foods C.O.O Mark Vaughan from stopping the beheading attack at the business on Monday’s broadcast of “The Laura Ingraham Show.”

“What Eric Holder ought to do, Laura, is he ought to call Mark Vaughan, who was off-duty but carrying a gun because in Oklahoma we still believe in the Second Amendment … I think Eric Holder needs to apologize, and the president needs to apologize for making efforts to ban certain types of guns because they might look scary, they don’t operate any differently, but they might look scary, I think they need to apologize for trying to limit magazine sizes against the Second Amendment, I think they need to apologize for trying to sign UN treaties that would, in essence, override our own Constitution as it relates to weapons” he stated.  And, “If we had passed those laws and done what this administration would like to do, Mark Vaughan would not have been able to take down this perpetrator and save lives.”

Bridenstine also asserted “when it comes to immigration, we can’t be basing it on political correctness…we have to get to a point where we can vet people that come here legally in a way that is very robust.”
