In an interview with CNN’s Gloria Borger on Wednesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) explained that she had been treated differently from her male counterparts as a female senator.
Warren declined to elaborate, but said she didn’t find it surprising.
“It’s hard to change these big, male dominated institutions,” Warren said. “What I am very happy about is that there are now enough women in the United States Senate to bring change to that place and I think that’s just powerfully important.”
“You know, others have said it before me,” she added. “If you don’t have a seat at the table, you’re probably on the menu.”
