Yemen, US review cooperation sides


WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 (Saba) — Charge d’Affairs of the Yemeni embassy in Washington Adel Ali al-Sonini has discussed with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Arabian Peninsula Susan Ziadeh cooperation relations between Yemen and the US.




Al-Sonini reviewed the latest developments at the national arena, particularly that related to the formation of the new government and constitution based on the peace and national partnership agreement.




The meeting touched on the exerted efforts to complete the political transition’s outcomes as well as steps taken by President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi in order to overcome the country’s ongoing crisis.




For her part, Ziadeh renewed the US support for Yemen aiming to assist it in achieving the aspirations of its people via succeeding the political transition and the process of national economic reforms.




She also asserted that the administration of President Barack Obama is obligated to the existing partnership with Yemen that aims to confront the common current threats of al-Qaeda.
